NOK Launches First In-Store Sales of "KKOOR" Hair Ties
NOK Corporation (Head Office: Shibadaimon, Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, Group Chief Executive Officer: Masao Tsuru; hereinafter referred to as "NOK") today announced the launch of in-store sales of its "KKOOR" hair ties at Tokyo Family Marche Ariake Garden, a family-oriented select shop located within Ariake Garden in Koto-ku, Tokyo. Available from May 13 through the end of September 2026, this marks the first time an NOK Group consumer product has been sold in a physical retail store.
The full range of 15 colors will be available in store, giving customers the opportunity to see and feel the product for the first time before purchasing, a significant step for a product that has until now been sold exclusively online. The store's family-focused customer base makes it a natural fit for the brand, and NOK sees the launch as an important opportunity to build awareness of "KKOOR" and gather insights to inform future product development.
About the "KKOOR" Hair Tie
The "KKOOR" hair tie, made from NOK's newly developed silicone rubber, features a unique star-shaped cross-section that provides a secure hold while allowing for easy removal. Its excellent durability and resistance to sweat and water make it ideal for everyday use as well as more active environments like sports, saunas, and beach outings. Since its launch in February 2024 as NOK's first B2C product, "KKOOR" has expanded its range of colors and use cases through online sales and collaborations with a number of sports teams. This in-store launch will offer the full lineup of 15 colors, ranging from everyday neutrals to bold fashion accents.
