NOK to Exhibit at “Government & Public Sector Week Japan 2026”
Debuting Three Products, Including Office Sound-Absorbing Panels, and Introducing Seven Products and Series for Public Spaces
NOK Corporation (Head Office: Shibadaimon, Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, Group Chief Executive Officer: Masao Tsuru; hereinafter referred to as “NOK”) will exhibit at “Government & Public Sector Week Japan 2026” held from Wednesday, May 13 to Friday, May 15 at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto-ku, Tokyo).
At its third appearance, NOK will exhibit seven products and product series under the theme “Shaping Possibilities with Unique Technology,” including three first-time exhibits: Office Sound-Absorbing Panels, Body Beat Sensor Toilet, and Step Marker. NOK will present technology-based solutions to a range of issues anticipated by municipalities and public institutions, including acoustic environments in public facilities, disaster preparedness, health and monitoring, and environmental considerations.
In addition to the three first-time exhibits, NOK will showcase Wearable Echo Sensor, Post Original Design Series, Hydrogen Sulfide Detection Rubber, High-Capacity Pressurized Water Purifier, and Recycled Rubber Series. During the exhibition, NOK will gather feedback from visitors to explore potential applications for each product and inform future improvements and development.
Going forward, NOK will continue listening carefully to voices from the field, seeking technological solutions to public sector challenges, and contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.
Technologies That Enhance Comfort in Work Environments and Public Spaces
Office Sound-Absorbing Panels *First-Time Exhibit
This product is a sound-absorbing panel that applies NOK’s long-cultivated vibration-control and soundproofing technologies. It reduces indoor sound reverberation through sound-absorbing materials and a structure that captures and attenuates sound energy.
Because it is lightweight and attaches with magnets, it can be installed on steel partitions and walls without drilling holes. It can also be attached and removed easily, making it well suited to layout changes or restoration when vacating a space. Additional color variations are planned for the future.
Technologies That Monitor Physical and Mental Conditions to Support Health
Body Beat Sensor Toilet *First-Time Exhibit
“Sotto Fabric+” is a highly flexible electrode that combines hydrogenated nitrile conductive rubber with fabric made from conductive PET fibers. When a person sits on this electrode, it can measure heart rate and changes in blood pressure, and send an alert to a smartphone when an abnormal condition is detected.
By enabling privacy-conscious sensing without the use of cameras, and without adding burden to daily life, this technology is expected to help address labor shortages in medical and caregiving settings and support health management for older adults.
Wearable Echo Sensor
Because it naturally conforms to the curves of the body, it places minimal burden on the wearer even during extended use. The product aims to bring ultrasound measurement, which has traditionally been limited to medical institutions, into everyday life. At this exhibition, NOK will conduct a measurement demonstration in which the sensor is worn on the body to capture echo images.
Technologies That Protect Local Safety
Post Original Design
Step Marker *First-Time Exhibit
Post Original Design is NOK’s line of highly durable rubber posts, used as visual guidance posts and lane separation posts on general roads, expressways, and other roadways. In recent years, traffic safety measures have been strengthened around school routes, tourist areas, and similar locations. At the same time, maintaining cityscapes and improving the efficiency of road infrastructure management have become key issues, driving demand for highly durable products that also consider the surrounding landscape.
This product uses NOK’s proprietary urethane rubber, which offers greater durability against bending and load than general materials. By reducing damage caused by vehicle contact, it contributes to improved maintainability. At the booth, NOK will exhibit “Step Marker,” which integrates a curb marker and rubber post, for the first time. NOK will also propose approaches to creating public spaces that balance safety with landscape design.

Technologies Contributing to Public Infrastructure Development and Disaster Preparedness
Hydrogen Sulfide Detection Rubber
High-Capacity Pressurized Water Purifier
This product was developed to help secure domestic water during emergencies as natural disasters become more frequent and risks such as water outages and water quality deterioration increase. During disasters such as earthquakes and heavy rainfall, shortages of domestic water for handwashing, hygiene management, laundry, and other daily needs can continue for extended periods. From the perspective of infection prevention and health maintenance, there is growing demand for ways to secure sufficient water volume.
This product combines an 18-liter plastic tank equipped with a pressurized manual pump and a water purification cartridge that uses a special hollow fiber membrane developed by NOK. It is designed to purify rainwater and river water for use as domestic water. Because it does not require a power supply, it can be used during power outages. Its lightweight and compact design also takes storage and portability into consideration, making it suitable for stockpiling by municipalities and deployment at public facilities.
During disasters, the product is expected to help secure domestic water needed for handwashing and hygiene management, while also supporting the maintenance of sanitary conditions during emergencies and preparedness for evacuation life.
