Supporting the Next Generation of Innovators “NOK presents Dream Journey” Returns in October
On October 5 (Sunday), NOK Corporation (Headquarters: Shibadaimon, Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, Group Chief Executive Officer: Masao Tsuru; hereinafter referred to as “NOK”) and TV-U Fukushima Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nishichuo, Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture; President: Masashi Nakao; hereinafter referred to as “TUF”) will begin airing the fourth installment of the mini-program “NOK presents Dream Journey — A Journey That Weaves Dreams”. The program supports young people pursuing their dreams through various forms of manufacturing (“monozukuri”) and will be broadcast in 24 episodes on BS-TBS, TV-U Fukushima (Fukushima Prefecture), and KKT Kumamoto Kenmin Television (Kumamoto Prefecture).

In this fourth series, the program will introduce initiatives from science and engineering students at eight universities and technical colleges across Japan — from Tohoku in the north to Kyushu in the south — who are tackling social challenges through the power of manufacturing. In the latter part of each episode, an informational segment will spotlight four NOK Group locations: the Kita-Ibaraki Plant, Unimatec Corporation, Nihonmatsu NOK Corporation, and MEK-J Corporation, showcasing employees who are advancing safety and comfort worldwide through manufacturing.
In addition to being broadcast on television, the program will also be available on the official Dream Journey — A Journey That Weaves Dreams YouTube channel.

The program spotlights young innovators tackling social challenges in areas such as the environment, resource sustainability, and wellness as they work toward a safer, more comfortable, and more convenient future. Through their curiosity, perseverance, and approach to problem-solving, the series highlights the spirit of Japan’s world-renowned technology and manufacturing. Featuring science and engineering students from eight universities and technical colleges across Japan, from Tohoku to Kyushu, the program explores how these young researchers are addressing real-world issues through studies and projects in areas such as robotics, mobility, and healthcare.

As the only domestic NOK Group site that manufactures flexible printed circuits (FPC), this plant plays a vital role in producing essential components for advanced electronic devices. Kubo is responsible for scheduling and quality management in the coverfilm lamination process, ensuring consistent quality and safety while supporting the stable production of FPC essential for advanced electronic devices.
