NOK Partners with Júbilo Iwata and Omaezaki City to Launch Loggerhead Turtle Conservation Awareness Initiative
To Be Held on Sunday, May 11 During Júbilo Iwata’s Meiji Yasuda J2 League Home Match
NOK Corporation (Headquarters: Shibadaimon, Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, Group Chief Executive Officer: Masao Tsuru; hereinafter referred to as "NOK") will team up with Júbilo Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Iwata-shi, Shizuoka; President: Yukimitsu Hamaura; hereinafter "Júbilo Iwata") and the City of Omaezaki in Shizuoka Prefecture to raise awareness about loggerhead turtle conservation.
The initiative will take place on Sunday, May 11, during the Meiji Yasuda J2 League Match Week 15 game between Júbilo Iwata and Fujieda MYFC at Yamaha Stadium. A dedicated booth will feature educational displays about the loggerhead turtle's habitat and conservation efforts, a coloring activity with turtle illustrations, and a donation area. The goal is to help more people understand and support the protection of this endangered species, which is designated as a National Natural Monument in Japan.

Omaezaki City is home to nesting grounds for loggerhead turtles, an internationally recognized endangered species, and has been actively involved in their conservation* for many years. With its Shizuoka Plant located in western Shizuoka Prefecture, NOK is committed to environmental initiatives as part of the local community. Now, in partnership with Omaezaki City, NOK and Júbilo Iwata — two organizations deeply connected to the region — are working together to support loggerhead turtle conservation efforts.
